
An established portrait photographer based in London and New York, Emma’s photographs have appeared in leading publications such as British Vogue and The Sunday Times Magazine. She combines her editorial photography with a number of independent projects and gallery shows and following on from her portraits of British shoe designers commissioned for Shoo magazine, her most current editorial work with online fashion glossy zoozoom.com is an in depth photo project and series of interviews on American shoe designers. Emma is currently working on an independent project photographing teenage girls across the UK. Her last exhibition (IN)VISIBLE (IN)SIGHTS, featuring photographs by autistic adults as well as her own striking portraits of the contributing photographers involved, was highly commended in the 2003 Observer Hodge Awards as well as being nominated for the then Citi Bank Prize in 2004. More recently it was a winner of the Flash Forward award from the Magenta Foundation in Toronto, Canada, in 2008. Emma graduated with a Photography Masters Degree from the acclaimed Goldsmith's College (London University) in 2000, achieving a distinction for her work. Recently her photography went into the National Portrait Gallery's permanent collection.
